Japanese Celebration in NCHU.

There was a gorgeous performance in the Small Auditorium on Oct. 7th, 2009. It’s the end of the year performance held by Friendly Ambassador. The topic of this show is Japanese celebration. Thus, the picture of our poster is a beautiful woman wearing a suit of kimono. You can see this poster frequently both on and off campus.

The performance started with an amazing fan dance. Some of the steps are traditional while the others are innovative. The dancers all wore short and floral kimonos. And I am one of the dancers, haha~

We invited not only senior officers but also friendly ambassadors from other schools.
Ambassadors from other school would stand on the stage and therefore we could ask them some questions and appreciate their suits. (p.s.: every school has its own special costume.)

Of course, there was our clothes show, like models do. It could be divided into two parts: one was ambassador’s uniform show and the other was Japanese clothes show. Women wear formal suits while men wear tuxedo when serving distinguished guests.(left-side pic.) Furthermore, we wear T-shirts when greeting senior high school students.(right-side pic.)

About Japanese clothes display, there were models(ha~
ambassadors) wearing various kimonos and they held swords, umbrellas, lanterns respectively, even four girls carried the God’s seat.

There was also a perfect drama which was about a
unemployed man went to different wine shops and got involved in two pretty geishas.(the hairstyle on the geishas was real, not wig!)

You can see the beautiful cherry blossom tree behind the three people, do you like it?

We also had Ninja dance on the performance and this dance was played by four men and four women. Thus, this dance was mixed with special power.

All the stuffs except the clothes appeared on this performance were made by us, like the God’s seat, cherry blossom tree, and even the torii.(You can see it on the next picture. It’s a huge decoration and it made people who made it extremely tired.)

We spent three months, inclusive of that summer vacation, preparing this performance.
Hope you like our performance.
And welcome to join Friendly Ambassadors of NCHU : )
